A RESOLUTION
Honoring Logan Dean as a 2024 Division III State Champion
in wrestling.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to commend Logan Dean on placing first in the 120- 2
pound weight class at the 2024 Division III State Wrestling 3
Championship; and 4
WHEREAS, Displaying exceptional form, ability, leadership, and 5
dedication during the 2023-2024 season, Logan Dean has distinguished 6
himself as one of the most talented wrestlers in the state. A senior 7
member of the Bethel-Tate High School wrestling team, he has 8
demonstrated his drive and skill by winning first place in the 120- 9
pound weight class at this year’s Division III State Wrestling 10
Championship; and 11
WHEREAS, Logan Dean has inspired his teammates, thrilled his fans, 12
and earned the respect of his opponents as a standout in his endeavors 13
with the Bethel-Tate High School wrestling team. Indeed, his victory 14
has been memorialized in Tigers history, for he is just the third 15
athlete in the school's history to secure a state title in any sport 16
and the first wrestler to be crowned a state champion in more than 17
three decades; and 18
WHEREAS, Throughout intense training and preparation, Logan Dean 19
has been an example of success, and as a result of his impressive 20
talent, diligence, and motivation, he has become an outstanding 21
wrestler whose integrity has made his family, his coaches, and his 22
school community very proud. Most assuredly, his remarkable prowess 23
and experience as an athlete will be of great benefit as he forges a 24
bright, promising future; therefore be it 25

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 26
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Logan Dean as 27
the 2024 Division III State Wrestling Champion in the 120-pound weight 28
class and salute him as an exemplary young Ohioan; and be it further 29
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 30
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Logan Dean. 31
