A RESOLUTION
Honoring Seneca County on its Two Hundredth Anniversary.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Seneca County on its 2
Bicentennial; and 3
WHEREAS, This is an ideal time to acknowledge the meaningful 4
history of Seneca County as well as the significant achievements of 5
its inhabitants. Over the past two centuries, county residents have 6
shared a resolve for a progressive and strong community and have 7
weathered the changes that come with the passing of time. Indeed, a 8
vigorous commitment to public service and an earnest devotion to lofty 9
ideals have long been second nature to the county’s citizens, and 10
vigilance, industriousness, and generosity have come to typify their 11
collective character; and 12
WHEREAS, Commemorated with much anticipated events, including its 13
Bicentennial Kick Off on April 1, 2024, this year-long celebration for 14
Seneca County will further reinforce the community’s reputation as a 15
location that radiates vitality, optimism, and a charm all its own. 16
The area remains a place of many engaging qualities, and its schools, 17
businesses, and civic organizations both embody and thrive upon the 18
values of which our flag is an emblem; and 19
WHEREAS, Every state depends upon such vibrant, durable 20
communities as Seneca County for its own survival and stability. The 21
county has been favored with its share of blessings, and in the years 22
to come, it is sure to remain on its admirable course and to continue 23
to transform challenges into opportunities; therefore be it 24
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 25
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Seneca County 26

As Introduced
on its Two Hundredth Anniversary and look with optimism to a future of 27
peace and prosperity; and be it further 28
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 29
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Seneca County. 30
