A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Olentangy Orange High School girls wrestling
team as the 2024 Division I State Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the Olentangy Orange High School 2
girls wrestling team on securing the 2024 Division I State 3
Championship; and 4
WHEREAS, The talented Olentangy Orange High School girls wrestling 5
team is, indeed, to be heartily commended for decisively earning this 6
year’s State Championship. The squad’s performance reflects an 7
outstanding collective effort by a gifted group of athletes, and 8
without exception, the team has devoted countless hours to training 9
and practice in order to ensure peak conditioning. Clearly, this 10
demanding regimen has paid handsome dividends; and 11
WHEREAS, The members of the Olentangy Orange High School girls 12
wrestling team have epitomized the power, poise, and precision that 13
befit true champions. Despite sometimes grueling pressure, they have 14
consistently maintained their composure and morale, exhibiting 15
strength, stamina, and agility in every challenging encounter. Time 16
and again, they have risen to the occasion, amply demonstrating their 17
unflagging determination, and their impressive maturity and finesse 18
have earned them widespread respect, even among their most formidable 19
rivals; and 20
WHEREAS, By weathering a rigorous schedule and prevailing over a 21
host of adversaries, the members of the Olentangy Orange High School 22
girls wrestling team have learned much about dedication, self- 23
discipline, leadership, and perseverance. Their first-place finish is 24
a measure of their stalwart commitment to the sport, and their 25
indomitable spirit has made their families, friends, and coach, Brian 26

Nicola, incredibly proud; therefore be it 27
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 28
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the Olentangy 29
Orange High School girls wrestling team on its brilliant 2023-2024 30
season and wish its members continued success in all of their future 31
endeavors; and be it further 32
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 33
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Olentangy Orange High 34
School girls wrestling team. 35
