                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring Cole Evans as a 2024 Division I State Wrestling
              Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Cole Evans on winning the 2024       2
Division I State Wrestling Championship in the 126-pound weight class;   3
and                                                                      4
     WHEREAS, A junior at Perrysburg High School, Cole Evans has         5
combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good   6
sportsmanship to establish himself as a truly exceptional young          7
athlete. With admirable dedication, he has worked diligently toward      8
attaining ultimate proficiency in wrestling, and as a result, he         9
capped an impressive 33-5 record this season by winning the Division I   10
State Championship title in the 126-pound weight class, his second       11
state crown in three years; and                                          12
     WHEREAS, Cole Evans’ accomplishments and leadership, both in and    13
out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an             14
outstanding reflection not only on him but also on his family, his       15
teammates, his coaches, his school, and his community. His unwavering    16
commitment to excellence has earned him the respect and esteem of        17
many, and he is certainly worthy of high praise; and                     18
     WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role   19
in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased     20
to pay tribute to Cole Evans on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same    21
maturity and experience he has gained through his participation in       22
wrestling will greatly aid him in meeting the challenges of the          23
future; therefore be it                                                  24
    RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General    25

As Introduced
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Cole Evans on       26
his personal success and salute him as one of Ohio’s finest citizens;      27
and be it further                                                          28
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                29
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Cole Evans.                       30
