A RESOLUTION
Honoring Kate Young on being selected as a 2023 All-
American in girls soccer.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to recognize Kate Young, a senior at Copley High 2
School, as a 2023 United Soccer Coaches High School All-American; and 3
WHEREAS, Displaying exceptional form, ability, leadership, and 4
dedication, Kate Young has certainly distinguished herself as one of 5
the most talented soccer players in the State of Ohio. During the 2023 6
season, she excelled in her endeavors on the pitch, contributing to 7
the accomplishments of her team, and she is truly worthy of 8
acknowledgement; and 9
WHEREAS, Throughout intense training and preparation, Kate Young 10
has consistently demonstrated the talent, integrity, and motivation 11
that are the hallmarks of a true standout athlete. She has inspired 12
her teammates, thrilled her fans, gained the respect of her opponents, 13
and made her coaches and family very proud; and 14
WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role 15
in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased 16
to pay tribute to Kate Young on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same 17
maturity and experience she has gained through her participation in 18
sports will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the future; 19
therefore be it 20
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 21
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Kate Young on 22
her personal success and offer best wishes for her continued success; 23
and be it further 24
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 25
