                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring the Kenton Ridge High School girls bowling team
              as the 2024 Division II State Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Kenton Ridge High School girls   2
bowling team on winning the 2024 Division II State Championship; and     3
     WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the   4
Kenton Ridge High School girls bowling team have combined talent and     5
spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish        6
themselves as truly exceptional competitors. With admirable              7
dedication, the Cougars have worked diligently toward attaining          8
ultimate proficiency in bowling, and as a result, they defeated a        9
tough Mechanicsburg team with the score of 179-199-177 to win this       10
year’s Division II State Championship; and                               11
     WHEREAS, The achievements and leadership of the Kenton Ridge High   12
School girls bowling team are a justifiable source of pride and an       13
excellent reflection on the bowlers, their families, their school        14
community, and their coach, Kevin Duncan. Indeed, in leading the team    15
to victory, Coach Duncan has helped these athletes to develop great      16
talent by instilling the valuable lessons of determination,              17
perseverance, and camaraderie; and                                       18
     WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role   19
in the total education of our young people, we are pleased to pay        20
tribute to the exemplary athletes and outstanding coach of the Kenton    21
Ridge High School girls bowling team for a job well done. The maturity   22
and experience the team members have gained through their                23
participation in sports will greatly aid them in meeting the             24
challenges of the future; therefore be it                                25

     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General     26
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Kenton          27
Ridge High School girls bowling team on its tremendous 2023-2024           28
season and salute the members and coach as some of Ohio’s finest           29
citizens; and be it further                                                30
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                31
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Kenton Ridge High School      32
girls bowling team.                                                        33
