                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring Grey Burnett as a 2024 Division I State Wrestling
              Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Grey Burnett on winning the 2024     2
Division I State Wrestling Championship in the 113-pound weight class;   3
and                                                                      4
     WHEREAS, A freshman at Perrysburg High School, Grey Burnett has     5
combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good   6
sportsmanship to establish himself as a truly exceptional young          7
athlete. With admirable dedication, he has worked diligently toward      8
attaining ultimate proficiency in wrestling, and as a result, he         9
defeated a tough opponent from St. Edward High School by the score of    10
3-2 to win the Division I State Championship title in the 113-pound      11
weight class and cap an impressive 44-3 record this season; and          12
     WHEREAS, Grey Burnett’s accomplishments and leadership, both in     13
and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an         14
outstanding reflection not only on him but also on his family, his       15
teammates, his coaches, his school, and his community. His unwavering    16
commitment to excellence has earned him the respect and esteem of        17
many, and he is certainly worthy of high praise; and                     18
     WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role   19
in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased     20
to pay tribute to Grey Burnett on an exemplary season. Indeed, the       21
same maturity and experience he has gained through his participation     22
in wrestling will greatly aid him in meeting the challenges of the       23
future; therefore be it                                                  24
    RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General    25

As Introduced
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Grey Burnett on     26
his personal success and salute him as one of Ohio’s finest citizens;      27
and be it further                                                          28
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                29
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Grey Burnett.                     30
