A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Pickerington High School Central cheer team
on securing the 2024 OASSA Division 1 Game-Day Non-
Building Small State Championship.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to applaud the Pickerington High School Central 2
cheer team as the 2024 OASSA Division 1 Game-Day Non-Building Small 3
State Champion; and 4
WHEREAS, The Pickerington High School Central cheer team is made 5
up of remarkable athletes who have worked diligently to showcase the 6
collective talents of their exceptional squad. At this year’s OASSA 7
State Cheer Championships, they won the game-day non-building small 8
category in Division 1, and the members amply demonstrated impressive 9
determination, maturity, and finesse in pursuit of this achievement; 10
and 11
WHEREAS, This triumph reflects the staunch resolve of these young 12
individuals, and it signifies the acquisition of valuable experience 13
that is sure to benefit them in later life. Thanks to the tireless 14
efforts of an exceptional Pickerington High School Central cheer team 15
coaching staff, as well as the support of their community, these 16
athletes have met the demands of an extensive training regimen, and 17
they have just cause for celebration; and 18
WHEREAS, All those who comprise the Pickerington High School 19
Central cheer team have set an excellent example of what a dedicated 20
group of athletes can achieve when guided by a committed coaching 21
staff and surrounded by loyal fans, sports families, and boosters. 22
These young competitors have certainly proven themselves to be dynamic 23
leaders, and we are confident that as they meet future challenges, 24

they will take with them the valuable lessons they have gained through 25
their participation in cheerleading; therefore be it 26
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 27
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the 28
Pickerington High School Central cheer team on its 2024 Division 1 29
State Championship title and count its members and coaches among the 30
ranks of outstanding Ohioans; and be it further 31
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 32
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Pickerington High School 33
Central cheer team. 34
