A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Liberty Center High School cheerleading team
as a 2024 OASSA State Cheer Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to the Liberty 2
Center High School cheerleading team on winning the Division 5 non- 3
building title at the 2024 Ohio Association of Secondary School 4
Administrators State Cheer Championships; and 5
WHEREAS, The talented athletes of the Liberty Center High School 6
cheerleading team are, indeed, to be commended for their remarkable 7
fitness and competitive drive, qualities that have figured prominently 8
in the squad’s impressive performance at this year’s OASSA State Cheer 9
Championships. To their credit, members Jessie Miller, Lilah Krueger, 10
Aleeah Brown, Leah Orr, Grace Brandeberry, Skylar Bailey, Lillian 11
Case, Libby Zeiter, Marleigh Myers, Suzanne Walker, Madison Foster, 12
and Taylyn Hershberger could always be counted on to execute even the 13
most demanding routines with agility, precision, exuberance, and 14
grace; and 15
WHEREAS, Under the expert guidance of their coaches, Shelley 16
Davis, Liz Spangler, Lexi Sexton, and Sydney Arno, the members of the 17
Liberty Center High School cheerleading team have trained tirelessly 18
in order to ensure peak physical and mental conditioning, and their 19
exceptional prowess has earned them many admirers. Participation in 20
this sport has enabled them to learn much about creative expression, 21
discipline, and dedication, and clearly, the experience they have 22
acquired is certain to benefit them in the years to come; and 23
WHEREAS, Their enthusiastic spirit and love of sports has led all 24
those who comprise the Liberty Center High School cheerleading team to 25
approach athletic challenges with integrity, and they have served as 26

an inspiration to their peers. This statewide accomplishment is a 27
justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on 28
them but also on their families, their coaches, their school, and 29
their community; therefore be it 30
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 31
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the Liberty 32
Center High School cheerleading team on an outstanding showing at the 33
2024 OASSA State Cheer Championships and offer best wishes for ongoing 34
success; and be it further 35
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 36
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Liberty Center High 37
School cheerleading team. 38
