A RESOLUTION
Honoring The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of
Ohio on its One Hundred Seventy-fifth Anniversary.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate The Most Worshipful Prince Hall 2
Grand Lodge of Ohio on the auspicious occasion of its One Hundred 3
Seventy-fifth Anniversary; and 4
WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting 5
tribute to The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Ohio, for 6
throughout the past one hundred seventy-five years, this fine Masonic 7
lodge has achieved a remarkable record of service to the state. 8
Chartered in 1849, it is the seventh oldest Grand Lodge of its 9
heritage, and the group’s accomplishments are a justifiable source of 10
pride and an outstanding reflection not only on the organization 11
itself but also on its dedicated members, for these individuals have 12
certainly distinguished themselves as conscientious and hard-working 13
Ohioans; and 14
WHEREAS, Over the years, The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand 15
Lodge of Ohio has enhanced the quality of life within the Great State 16
of Ohio, and through its generous contributions, it has earned the 17
respect and gratitude of the many citizens it has so capably served. 18
We are certain that as this worthy endeavor maintains its dedication 19
to service, it will continue in the tradition of excellence that has 20
been the hallmark of Prince Hall Freemasonry since its establishment; 21
and 22
WHEREAS, We are proud to note that it is through the unceasing 23
efforts of organizations such as The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand 24
Lodge of Ohio that Ohio has gained a reputation as a state that is 25
responsive to the needs of its citizens and has remained a pleasant 26

place in which to live and work. Indeed, this group is truly deserving 27
of high praise; therefore be it 28
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 29
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend The Most 30
Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Ohio as it celebrates its One 31
Hundred Seventy-fifth Anniversary and extend best wishes for ongoing 32
success; and be it further 33
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 34
authenticated copy of this Resolution to The Most Worshipful Prince 35
Hall Grand Lodge of Ohio. 36
