                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring Ivan Prykhodko as a 2024 Division II State
              Swimming Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Ivan Prykhodko on winning the 2024   2
Division II State Championship in the 100-yard breaststroke; and         3
     WHEREAS, A senior at Lexington High School, Ivan Prykhodko has      4
combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good   5
sportsmanship to establish himself as a truly exceptional young          6
athlete. With admirable dedication, he has worked diligently toward      7
attaining ultimate proficiency in swimming, and as a result, he won      8
first place in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 56.81, for       9
which he was named an All-Ohioan for the fourth consecutive year, and    10
helped his team place second overall at this year’s Division II State    11
Meet; and                                                                12
     WHEREAS, Ivan Prykhodko’s accomplishments and leadership, both in   13
and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine     14
reflection not only on him but also on his family, his teammates, his    15
coaches, his school, and his community. His unwavering commitment to     16
excellence has earned him the respect and esteem of many, and he is      17
certainly worthy of high praise; and                                     18
     WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role   19
in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased     20
to pay tribute to Ivan Prykhodko on an exemplary season. Indeed, the     21
same maturity and experience he has gained through his participation     22
in swimming will greatly aid him in meeting the challenges of the        23
future; therefore be it                                                  24
    RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General    25

As Introduced
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Ivan Prykhodko      26
on his 2024 Division II State Championship and extend best wishes for      27
continued success; and be it further                                       28
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                29
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Ivan Prykhodko.                   30
