                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral on its
              Centennial.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to St. Vladimir        2
Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral on the memorable occasion of its One        3
Hundredth Anniversary; and                                               4
     WHEREAS, In 1924, St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral was     5
founded and organized by immigrants from Western Ukraine, and for the    6
past century, this dynamic house of worship has served as a tremendous   7
source of spiritual inspiration for its congregation. Indeed, it has     8
encouraged countless people from the neighborhoods of Cleveland to       9
pursue lives of service, learning, and fellowship; and                   10
     WHEREAS, This auspicious celebration offers the members of St.      11
Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral the opportunity to share their     12
memories and to reflect on the benefits of life in their close-knit      13
community. Under the guidance of many fine religious leaders, the        14
parishioners have expanded on the best traditions of the past to         15
ensure a benevolent and prosperous future, and they can be proud of      16
the remarkable examples they have set through their values and           17
principles; and                                                          18
     WHEREAS, The members of St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral   19
have stood strong in the face of numerous challenges, and they have      20
had a positive impact on the lives of many local residents. Indeed,      21
this important milestone represents their dedication and commitment to   22
keep their faith alive in the Parma community, and all those             23
associated with this beacon of society are deserving of high praise;     24

As Introduced
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General     26
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud St. Vladimir        27
Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral on its One Hundredth Anniversary and          28
offer best wishes as it upholds its rich legacy of faith and               29
fellowship in the years to come; and be it further                         30
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                31
authenticated copy of this Resolution to St. Vladimir Ukrainian            32
Orthodox Cathedral.                                                        33
