                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring Kenny Libben on receiving the Hunter-Burley
              Award.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly     1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Kenny Libben on being presented       2
with the Hunter-Burley Award by the Small Museum Association, February    3
20, 2024; and                                                             4
     WHEREAS, This prestigious distinction is a fitting tribute to        5
Kenny Libben for his outstanding contributions to the advancement of      6
public access and professional growth for his institution. The curator    7
of the Cleo Redd Fisher Museum since 2010, he has been instrumental in    8
increasing artifact and monetary donations, developing new exhibits       9
focused on local stories, adding social media and marketing campaigns,    10
more than tripling memberships, and significantly increasing annual       11
attendance rates, all of which helped save the museum from closing,       12
and he has received several honors and awards; and                        13
     WHEREAS, Kenny Libben is truly a remarkable individual, for he has   14
combined civic concern and commitment with selfless initiative to         15
become a dynamic force in the State of Ohio. Through his decisive         16
leadership, he has distinguished himself as a conscientious and hard-     17
working Ohioan, and we are certain that he will continue to               18
demonstrate the same unwavering dedication to service and achievement     19
for which he has become known; and                                        20
     WHEREAS, Willingly giving of his time, energy, and abilities far     21
beyond what was required or expected, Kenny Libben has striven to         22
better the world around him. Through his tremendous endeavors, he has     23
earned the respect and esteem of all who know him, and he is, indeed,     24
deserving of high praise. We are proud to note that it is through the     25
unceasing efforts of people such as he that Ohio has gained a             26

reputation as a state whose residents are responsive to the needs of       27
their communities; therefore be it                                         28
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General     29
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Kenny Libben        30
for exemplary achievement and salute him as one of Ohio’s finest           31
citizens; and be it further                                                32
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                33
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Kenny Libben.                     34
