A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Geneva Rotary Club on its One Hundredth
Anniversary.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to applaud the Geneva Rotary Club on the 2
celebration of its Centennial, April 13, 2024; and 3
WHEREAS, A one hundredth anniversary is a distinctive milestone, 4
and it affords the opportunity to acknowledge the remarkable 5
philanthropic work done by the Geneva Rotary Club. An outstanding 6
affiliate of Rotary International, the organization has a long and 7
distinguished history of civic service, including such endeavors as 8
its third-grade dictionary, Breakfast of Champions, Salvation Army 9
Kettle Drive, and Run for the Grapes projects as well as raising funds 10
to support student scholarships, and through its numerous initiatives, 11
it has helped shape a brighter future; and 12
WHEREAS, The diligent efforts of people such as those affiliated 13
with the Geneva Rotary Club, both past and present, are one of the 14
reasons that the State of Ohio continues to grow and prosper. Through 15
their involvement with various beneficial programs and activities, the 16
members of this praiseworthy group have not only had the chance to 17
express their personal talents and skills, but they have also helped 18
to better the lives of those around them; and 19
WHEREAS, The many individuals who have supported the Geneva Rotary 20
Club are, indeed, to be commended for their foresight, dedication, and 21
selfless donations of time, energy, and ability far beyond what was 22
required or expected. These fine Ohioans have displayed initiative and 23
concern for others, and they have left a lasting impact on the area; 24

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 26
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to the 27
Geneva Rotary Club on its Centennial and offer best wishes for the 28
years to come; and be it further 29
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 30
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Geneva Rotary Club. 31
