                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring Cheryl J. Lyman on her retirement as the
              executive director of the Ohio Facilities Construction
              Commission.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly     1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Cheryl J. Lyman on retiring from      2
the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission; and                          3
     WHEREAS, Cheryl Lyman is, indeed, a remarkable individual, for she   4
has combined civic concern and commitment with selfless initiative to     5
become a dynamic leader in her field. Retiring as the executive           6
director of the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission, she              7
previously served with the City of Columbus, the Office of Budget and     8
Management, the Department of Administrative Services, the Department     9
of Commerce, the Department of Development, the Office of the Ohio        10
Consumers’ Counsel, The Ohio State University, and Otterbein              11
University, and she has truly been an outstanding example of              12
professional success; and                                                 13
     WHEREAS, Throughout her career, Cheryl Lyman has clearly had a       14
positive lasting effect on the institutions she has served. Indeed,       15
she has brought her skills and talents to bear on an array of             16
formidable challenges, and she merits praise for her decisive             17
leadership, attention to detail, and aptitude for creative problem        18
solving. It is no surprise that her character and commitment have won     19
her a host of admirers, and she is truly deserving of high praise; and    20
     WHEREAS, We are proud to note that it is through the unsurpassed     21
efforts and deep commitment of conscientious people such as Cheryl        22
Lyman that the State of Ohio continues to grow and prosper. Over the      23
years, she has striven to serve her fellow citizens to the best of her    24

ability, and we applaud her for her fine efforts; therefore be it            25
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General       26
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Cheryl J. Lyman       27
on the occasion of her retirement and extend best wishes for health          28
and happiness in the years to come; and be it further                        29
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                  30
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Cheryl J. Lyman.                    31
