            A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
            Authorizing a joint convention of the Ohio General               1
               Assembly for the purpose of receiving a message from          2
               the Governor and calling for a committee to wait upon         3
               the Governor in anticipation of his State of the State        4
               Address.                                                      5
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF
OHIO (THE SENATE CONCURRING):
     WHEREAS, The members of the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, by          6
adoption of this Resolution, call for a joint convention of the              7
legislature, to be held in the House Chambers of the Ohio Statehouse,        8
April 10, 2024 at 12:00 o'clock p.m.; and                                    9
     WHEREAS, The Ohio General Assembly annually convenes a joint            10
convention of the House and Senate for the purpose of receiving a message    11
from the Governor as to the State of the State; and                          12
     WHEREAS, The members of the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, by          13
adoption of the Resolution, call for a committee of nine on the part of      14
the House of Representatives and eight on the part of the Senate to be       15
appointed to wait upon the Governor in anticipation of his State of the      16
State Address, April 10, 2024 at 12:00 o'clock p.m.; and                     17
     WHEREAS, It is a tradition of courtesy for the Ohio General Assembly    18
to appoint a committee to wait upon the Governor; therefore be it            19
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the 135th General Assembly of Ohio,   20
in adopting this Resolution, authorize a joint convention of the             21
legislature to be held in the House Chambers of the Ohio Statehouse,         22

Columbus, April 10, 2024 at 12:00 o'clock p.m., for the purpose of              23
welcoming the Governor, the Honorable Mike DeWine, and receiving his            24
message on the State of the State; and be it further                            25
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the 135th General Assembly of Ohio,      26
in adopting this Resolution, call for a committee of nine on the part of        27
the House of Representatives and eight on the part of the Senate to be          28
appointed to wait upon the Governor; and be it further                          29
     RESOLVED, That the rules and customs of the House shall be observed        30
during the use of the House Chambers; and be it further                         31
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit          32
duly authenticated copies of this Resolution to Governor Mike DeWine and        33
to the news media of Ohio.                                                      34
