                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring Luke Kieffer on receiving the ITEEA Award.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Luke Kieffer on     2
being presented with the International Technology and Engineering        3
Educators Association Award; and                                         4
     WHEREAS, Selection for this global distinction is an honor of       5
which Luke Kieffer can be proud, for he has been acknowledged for the    6
exceptional talents he has brought to the classroom. An engineering      7
teacher at Bay High School, he has worked diligently to channel the      8
natural energy and curiosity of young people into meaningful inquiry,    9
thereby helping them gain a better understanding of the complex world    10
around them. By presenting lessons in an interesting and                 11
comprehensible manner, embracing innovation, and advocating for          12
advanced technological literacy, he has consistently inspired his        13
students to excel; and                                                   14
     WHEREAS, Throughout his career in the field of education, Luke      15
Kieffer has supported countless students in their scholastic endeavors   16
and has helped nurture within them a desire for academic excellence.     17
Willingly giving of his time, energy, and abilities far beyond what      18
was required or expected, he has earned the respect and gratitude of     19
his colleagues, his community, and, most importantly, his students for   20
his genuine love of teaching, and he is certainly deserving of high      21
praise; and                                                              22
     WHEREAS, Motivated by a deep concern for young people, Luke         23
Kieffer has excelled at making learning enjoyable for the students in    24
his classroom. A patient and generous individual, he has encouraged      25
many individuals to develop their technical abilities and has            26
instilled within them an appreciation of the importance of education     27

which will benefit them throughout their lives; therefore be it            28
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General     29
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Luke Kieffer on     30
his recent accolade and salute him as one of Ohio’s finest educators;      31
and be it further                                                          32
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                33
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Luke Kieffer.                     34
