                       A RESOLUTION
             Honoring The Ohio State University dance team
       as the 2024 College Nationals Division IA Jazz Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th   1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate The Ohio State      2
University dance team on placing first in the jazz category at the       3
2024 Universal Dance Association Division IA National Championship;      4
and                                                                      5
     WHEREAS, The Ohio State University dance team has accomplished a    6
tremendous feat in securing this year's Universal Dance Association      7
Division IA National Champion title in the jazz category, its fifth      8
such crown in six years, as well as second-place honors in the pom       9
category, and this triumph marks the culmination of countless hours of   10
practice and preparation. The Buckeyes’ strong performance, combined     11
with an adept drive to succeed, has led the squad to this outstanding    12
achievement, and the group has earned the appreciation and admiration    13
of many; and                                                             14
     WHEREAS, The accomplishments and development of The Ohio State      15
University dance team are fine examples of what can be attained by a     16
group of hard-working young people supported by a dedicated coaching     17
staff. Throughout extensive conditioning and training, the members       18
have developed into a dynamic group of competitive dancers, and they     19
are deserving of acknowledgement; and                                    20
     WHEREAS, With great admiration, we congratulate the individuals     21
who comprise The Ohio State University dance team, for they have         22
overcome many formidable opponents and displayed tremendous prowess.     23
Indeed, we are confident that as they meet their future challenges,      24
they will take with them the lessons of comradery, diligence, and        25
discipline; therefore be it                                              26

As Offered
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of     27
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,           28
commend The Ohio State University dance team on its outstanding            29
performance and praise the strength of this program and its                30
participating students; and be it further                                  31
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     32
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to The Ohio State             33
University dance team.                                                     34
