A RESOLUTION
Honoring Tammy Moore Morton
as the 2023 Outstanding JFS Director of the Year.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Tammy Moore 2
Morton on being named the 2023 Outstanding Director of the Year by the 3
Ohio Job and Family Services Directors Association; and 4
WHEREAS, A remarkable individual, Tammy Morton has combined civic 5
concern and dedication with the utmost professionalism to become a 6
dynamic leader in her field. The director of the Scioto County 7
Department of Job and Family Services, she has worked diligently to 8
develop her expertise and enthusiasm, and as a result, she was 9
selected as the 2023 Outstanding Director of the Year; and 10
WHEREAS, Tammy Morton’s accomplishments are a justifiable source 11
of pride and an excellent reflection not only on her but also on her 12
family, on her agency, and on her community. Through her admirable 13
devotion to service and achievement, she has distinguished herself as 14
a conscientious and responsible Ohioan, and she is truly deserving of 15
high praise; and 16
WHEREAS, Willingly giving of her time, energy, and abilities far 17
beyond what was required or expected, Tammy Morton has striven to 18
better the world around her, and she has earned the respect and esteem 19
of colleagues, clients, and the community alike. We are certain that 20
in the years to come, she will continue to demonstrate the same 21
unwavering commitment to excellence for which she has become known; 22
therefore be it 23
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 24
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 25

commend Tammy Moore Morton on her personal success and salute her as 26
one of Ohio’s finest citizens; and be it further 27
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 28
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Tammy Moore Morton. 29
