A RESOLUTION
Honoring Luke Hamilton on being named a 2023 Division II
Offensive Co-Player of the Year in football.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Luke Hamilton as a 2023 Division 2
II Offensive Co-Player of the Year in football; and 3
WHEREAS, Luke Hamilton’s outstanding ability and spirited drive 4
have distinguished him as a superior athlete. A senior member of the 5
Avon High School football team, he was an exceptional lineman during 6
the 2023 season, and he received All-Ohio Division II first-team 7
offensive honors as its Co-Player of the Year. Indeed, he is greatly 8
esteemed by all those who have witnessed him in action; and 9
WHEREAS, In displaying remarkable prowess, Luke Hamilton has 10
earned the appreciation of his fellow athletes, the respect of even 11
his most determined rivals, and the admiration of countless fans, 12
including his family, his school community, and his coach, Mike Elder. 13
Competition in athletics has enabled him to learn much about 14
dedication and self-discipline, and we take this opportunity to pay 15
tribute to his exceptional record of achievement; and 16
WHEREAS, Football is a sport that requires extensive teamwork, 17
natural ability, and tenacity, and Luke Hamilton is to be commended 18
for his commitment to this demanding athletic endeavor. In attaining 19
his goals, he has consistently exhibited the skill and integrity that 20
are the hallmarks of a true champion; therefore be it 21
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 22
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, extend recognition to 23
Luke Hamilton on his impressive high school football career and look 24
with optimism to his bright, promising future; and be it further 25

authenticated copy of this Resolution to Luke Hamilton. 27
