                       A RESOLUTION
           Honoring Ronald Spears II as the top-ranked senator at the
              2023 Boys Nation.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Ronald Spears II on being ranked   2
the top senator at the 2023 Boys Nation; and                             3
     WHEREAS, A student at Theodore Roosevelt High School, Ronald        4
Spears has demonstrated outstanding ability, as well as such qualities   5
as perseverance, initiative, leadership, and intelligence,               6
characteristics that led to him being designated as a delegate for the   7
2023 Buckeye Boys State by Portage American Legion Post 496. For his     8
fine work, he was chosen to represent the State of Ohio at the 2023      9
Boys Nation, where he was ranked first among the ninety-eight            10
delegates, and he has truly distinguished himself among a select group   11
of young men whose accomplishments merit praise; and                     12
     WHEREAS, With self-discipline, perseverance, and resolve, Ronald    13
Spears has striven to increase his knowledge and skills, and he can be   14
justly proud of his record of attainment. Through his decisive           15
leadership, he has proven himself to be a conscientious and              16
responsible young man, and we are certain that he will continue to       17
display the same unwavering dedication to excellence for which he has    18
become known; and                                                        19
     WHEREAS, Buckeye Boys State and Boys Nation provide students with   20
excellent opportunities to participate in a simulation of government     21
processes. Ronald Spears’ commitment and enthusiasm serve as an          22
inspiration to others, and he represents all those throughout Ohio who   23
have established high personal goals and have striven to reach their     24
potential; therefore be it                                               25

As Introduced
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General     26
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Ronald Spears       27
II on his national honor and extend best wishes for the future; and be     28
it further                                                                 29
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                30
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Ronald Spears II.                 31
