                       A RESOLUTION
            Authorizing the Ohio-West Virginia Youth Leadership          1
              Association to use the Ohio Senate Chamber and             2
              committee rooms on April 11-13, 2024.                      3
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    4
of Ohio have learned that the Ohio-West Virginia Youth Leadership        5
Association has requested permission to use the Ohio Senate Chamber      6
and committee rooms for its Ohio Youth in Government Program, April      7
11-13, 2024; and                                                         8
     WHEREAS, Since its inception, the Ohio-West Virginia Youth          9
Leadership Association has provided students with the opportunity to     10
better appreciate and understand government and its components, and      11
the knowledge gained through this event will certainly be of value to    12
participants in the years to come; and                                   13
     WHEREAS, By utilizing the facilities that accommodate those         14
involved in the state legislative process, the Ohio-West Virginia        15
Youth Leadership Association will offer students an accurate depiction   16
of state government and the manner in which legislation is created and   17
processed; and                                                           18
     WHEREAS, Through participation in the Ohio Youth in Government      19
Program, students will be better prepared to become productive members   20
of our complex and ever-changing society. The maturity and experience    21
participants will gain as a result of their involvement with the Ohio-   22
West Virginia Youth Leadership Association will not only enrich their    23
total educational experience but also enable them to make better-        24

informed decisions as they assume the responsibilities of adult            25
citizenship; therefore be it                                               26
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General     27
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, permit the Ohio-West        28
Virginia Youth Leadership Association to use the Ohio Senate Chamber,      29
contingent upon the availability of those facilities, and salute the       30
participants as some of Ohio’s finest young citizens; and be it            31
further                                                                    32
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                33
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Ohio-West Virginia Youth      34
Leadership Association.                                                    35
