A RESOLUTION
Honoring The Ohio State University spirit team on securing
the 2024 UDA Spirit Program National Championship.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to The Ohio State University spirit 2
team on winning first place at the 2024 Universal Dance Association 3
Spirit Program National Championship; and 4
WHEREAS, An extremely talented group of athletes, the members of 5
The Ohio State University spirit team have certainly distinguished 6
themselves as one of the finest teams in the country. Under the 7
capable direction of their coaches, they achieved their goals and 8
succeeded in bringing a UDA national championship home to Columbus. 9
They are certainly deserving of applause; and 10
WHEREAS, The members of The Ohio State University spirit team have 11
conscientiously applied themselves to the quest for excellence, and 12
time and again, they have risen to the occasion, maintaining their 13
morale, composure, and good sportsmanship. Clearly, their enthusiastic 14
involvement in competitive cheerleading has enabled them to learn much 15
about dedication, self-discipline, and leadership, and in the process, 16
their exceptional prowess has made their families and friends very 17
proud; and 18
WHEREAS, The members of The Ohio State University spirit team have 19
consistently demonstrated the talent, confidence, and motivation that 20
are the hallmarks of true champions, and they have gained the respect 21
of even their most determined rivals. The maturity and experience 22
which the students have gained through their participation in sports 23
will undoubtedly assist them in meeting the challenges of the future; 24

As Adopted by the Senate
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 26
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate The Ohio 27
State University spirit team for exemplary achievement and salute the 28
members as some of Ohio’s finest young citizens; and be it further 29
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 30
authenticated copy of this Resolution to The Ohio State University 31
spirit team. 32
