A RESOLUTION
Honoring the John F. Kennedy High School cheerleading team
on winning the 2023 Division VII State Spirit Championship.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the John F. 2
Kennedy High School cheerleading team as the 2023 Division VII State 3
Spirit Champion; and 4
WHEREAS, The talented athletes that make up the John F. Kennedy 5
High School cheerleading team are, indeed, to be commended for their 6
remarkable fitness and competitive drive, qualities that have figured 7
prominently in the squad’s impressive performance at the 2023 Division 8
VII State Spirit Competition. To their credit, the members could 9
always be counted on to execute even the most demanding routines with 10
agility, precision, exuberance, and grace, and as a result, they 11
placed first in the crowd leading and band chant and fight song 12
categories and had no deductions to secure this year’s state title; 13
and 14
WHEREAS, Under the expert guidance of their coaches, the members 15
of the John F. Kennedy High School cheerleading team have trained 16
tirelessly in order to ensure peak physical and mental conditioning, 17
and their exceptional prowess has earned them many admirers. 18
Participation in this exciting activity has enabled them to learn much 19
about creative expression, self-respect, leadership, and dedication, 20
and clearly, the experience they have acquired is certain to benefit 21
them in the years to come; and 22
WHEREAS, Their enthusiastic school spirit and love of sports have 23
led the members of the John F. Kennedy High School cheerleading team 24
to take part in many activities, and they have served as an 25
inspiration to their peers. Their accomplishments serve as an example 26

worthy of emulation, and they are truly deserving of high praise; 27
therefore be it 28
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 29
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 30
applaud the John F. Kennedy High School cheerleading team for 31
exemplary achievement and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and 32
be it further 33
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 34
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the John F. Kennedy 35
High School cheerleading team. 36
