A RESOLUTION
In memory of Representative Kristopher W. Jordan.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 1
135th General Assembly of Ohio extend our heartfelt condolences to 2
the family and friends of Representative Kristopher W. Jordan in 3
their bereavement; and 4
WHEREAS, Kris Jordan left an indelible impression in all of his 5
endeavors, and the State of Ohio benefited exponentially during his 6
service as an Ohio legislator, a career which spanned five terms in 7
office. First elected to the 128th General Assembly as the member for 8
the 2nd District of the Ohio House of Representatives and as the 9
Assistant Minority Whip, Kris Jordan went on to serve with the Ohio 10
Senate, where he represented the 19th District and was the chairman of 11
the State and Local Government and Veterans Affairs committees. In his 12

most recent role as the representative for the 60th House District, he 13
will be remembered for his civic engagement as the chair of the 14
Financial Institutions Committee, as a member of the Insurance, Public 15
Health Policy, and Ways and Means committees, and above all, as a 16
champion for the common citizens of Delaware County; and 17
WHEREAS, Kris Jordan’s regard for improving the quality of life 18
in our society was reflected in his leadership, and he received 19
countless accolades for his character and strong conservative values. 20
In addition, he was a longtime supporter of the Delaware County 4-H 21
program and Delaware County Farm Bureau, and he was a member of the 22
National Rifle Association and Delaware County Right to Life. Indeed, 23
his meaningful efforts earned him the respect and esteem of many, and 24
his absence will be keenly felt; and 25
WHEREAS, A devoted father to his three children, Macy, David, and 26
Everly, and a cherished son, brother, and friend, Kris Jordan always 27
used his talents to the benefit of others, and the laurels of his life 28
stand as a tribute not only to him but also to those he left behind. 29
Although the void his death has created can never be filled, the 30
legacy of care and commitment he established will surely live on. 31
The world is a richer place for his having been in it, and the impact 32
he made during his lifetime will be his eternal legacy; therefore be 33

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 35
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 36
express a profound sense of loss and sincere regret at the death of 37
Representative Kristopher W. Jordan and, in so doing, salute the 38
memory of an honorable man; and be it further 39
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives 40
transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the family 41
of Representative Kristopher W. Jordan. 42
