                        A RESOLUTION
     Honoring the Perrysburg High School girls cross country team
                as the 2023 Division I State Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th   1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Perrysburg      2
High School girls cross country team on winning the 2023 Division I      3
State Championship; and                                                  4
     WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the   5
Perrysburg High School girls cross country team have combined talent     6
and spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish    7
themselves as truly exceptional competitors. With admirable              8
dedication, the Yellow Jackets have worked diligently toward attaining   9
ultimate proficiency in distance running, and as a result, they won      10
this year’s Division I State Championship; and                           11
     WHEREAS, The Yellow Jackets’ achievements and leadership are a      12
justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection on the           13
runners, their families, their school, their community, and their        14
coach, Jon Monheim. In leading his team to victory, Coach Monheim has    15
not only helped the athletes to develop their talents to the fullest     16
but also instilled in each a valuable sense of determination,            17
perseverance, and camaraderie; and                                       18
     WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role   19
in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased     20
to pay tribute to these exemplary athletes and their outstanding coach   21
for a job well done. The maturity and experience the team members have   22
gained through their participation in sports will greatly aid them in    23
meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it                    24
    RESOLVED,   That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 25

As Offered
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,           26
commend the Perrysburg High School girls cross country team on its         27
tremendous season and salute the members and coach as some of Ohio’s       28
finest citizens; and be it further                                         29
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 30
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Perrysburg High    31
School girls cross country team.                                       32
