A RESOLUTION
Honoring The Sight Center of Northwest Ohio on the
occasion of its One Hundredth Anniversary.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to The Sight Center of Northwest 2
Ohio as it celebrates its One Hundredth Anniversary; and 3
WHEREAS, This is, indeed, an important occasion, and it provides 4
an ideal time to acknowledge the exceptional work done by The Sight 5
Center of Northwest Ohio. Established in 1923 as the Toledo Society 6
for the Blind, this nonprofit has helped many people who are dealing 7
with visual impairment or loss, and its unique blend of resources, 8
programs, and supportive services have gained it the gratitude and 9
appreciation of all those it has assisted. Indeed, this agency’s 10
impressive contributions to the community readily explain why it is so 11
widely held in high esteem; and 12
WHEREAS, All those associated with The Sight Center of Northwest 13
Ohio are to be commended for their foresight, dedication, and selfless 14
donations of time, energy, and ability far beyond what was required or 15
expected. These fine people have earned the respect and admiration of 16
many and have set an example of concerned and responsible citizenship 17
worthy of emulation; and 18
WHEREAS, Since its inception, The Sight Center of Northwest Ohio 19
has experienced tremendous growth and success, expanding its service 20
area to include eighteen counties as well as parts of Southeast 21
Michigan and Central Ohio. We are certain that as this fine 22
organization maintains its unfaltering dedication to compassionate 23
service, it will continue in the tradition of excellence that has 24
become its hallmark; therefore be it 25

As Adopted by the Senate
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 26
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate The Sight 27
Center of Northwest Ohio on its Centennial and extend best wishes for 28
continued success; and be it further 29
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 30
authenticated copy of this Resolution to The Sight Center of Northwest 31
Ohio. 32
