A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Boardman Township Fire Department on its
Centennial.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to commend the Boardman Township Fire Department 2
on the One Hundredth Anniversary of its founding; and 3
WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting 4
tribute to the Boardman Township Fire Department, for over the past 5
one hundred years, this fine agency has attained a praiseworthy record 6
of service to local residents and businesses. Indeed, the department’s 7
achievements are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent 8
reflection not only on the organization itself but also on its astute 9
leaders, on its dedicated members, and on the community it serves; and 10
WHEREAS, While many people are content to take a passive role in 11
life, the members of the Boardman Township Fire Department have risked 12
their own safety to ensure the well-being of their fellow citizens, 13
and the enthusiasm and devotion to duty they have shown in all of 14
their endeavors have earned them the gratitude and respect of the 15
citizens they have safeguarded. We are certain that as they maintain 16
their unwavering commitment to service, these individuals will 17
continue in the tradition of excellence that has long been the 18
department’s hallmark; and 19
WHEREAS, We are delighted to honor the many members of the 20
Boardman Township Fire Department, for they have proven themselves to 21
be conscientious, valiant Ohioans, and considering the bravery, 22
commitment, and self-sacrifice of these heroes, it is no surprise that 23
they inspire such trust and confidence. Without a doubt, their 24
noteworthy accomplishments demonstrate the potential of individuals to 25
have a positive effect on the quality of life in our society; 26

therefore be it 27
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 28
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the 29
Boardman Township Fire Department on the memorable occasion of its One 30
Hundredth Anniversary and extend best wishes for continued prosperity; 31
and be it further 32
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 33
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Boardman Township Fire 34
Department. 35
