                       A RESOLUTION
        Honoring St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church of Lorain
                          on its Centennial.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate St. Nicholas      2
Greek Orthodox Church of Lorain on its One Hundredth Anniversary; and  3
     WHEREAS, Since its inception, St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church    4
of Lorain has offered its members the pathway to a more meaningful       5
life by illuminating and demonstrating the precepts on which the         6
church was founded. The spirit of love and Christian fellowship that     7
exists among the parishioners not only prevails within the church        8
edifice itself but also extends beyond those sacred walls to touch the   9
lives of everyone encountered by these devout disciples; and             10
     WHEREAS, Under the capable leadership of its pastors, both past     11
and present, St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church of Lorain has provided   12
a source of moral guidance and spiritual motivation for each of its      13
members. Over the years, the church has enhanced the quality of life     14
within the surrounding area, and through its generous efforts, it has    15
earned the gratitude and respect of the many citizens it has so          16
capably served; and                                                      17
     WHEREAS, An occasion such as this is an important milestone that    18
represents dedication and commitment. For one hundred years, the         19
members of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church of Lorain have kept        20
their faith alive in the community, and on this special anniversary,     21
the congregation has accepted the challenge of carrying its beliefs      22
into the future; therefore be it                                         23
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 24
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,       25

commend St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church of Lorain on its One              26
Hundredth Anniversary and pay tribute to all those joining in the            27
celebration of this joyous event; and be it further                          28
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 29
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to St. Nicholas Greek     30
Orthodox Church of Lorain.                                             31
