                       A RESOLUTION
                     Honoring Post Boy Tree Farm
  on being presented with the 2023 Ohio Tree Farm of the Year Award.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend Post Boy Tree Farm as  2
the 2023 Ohio Forestry Association Tree Farm of the Year; and          3
     WHEREAS, As the owners and operators of Post Boy Tree Farm,         4
Michael and Patsy Schmuki have distinguished themselves as outstanding   5
individuals and have gained the admiration and esteem of the entire      6
community. Through their tireless efforts to plant a wide variety of     7
trees, conduct brush management, and control invasive species in the     8
woodlands, they have combined concern and commitment with selfless       9
initiative to become dynamic leaders in the local area, and as a         10
result of their dedication, Post Boy Tree Farm was named this year’s     11
Ohio Tree Farm of the Year; and                                          12
     WHEREAS, Post Boy Tree Farm is worthy of recognition, for it has    13
implemented a number of exemplary management practices that protect      14
the environment and conserve natural resources. Over the years, this     15
farm has established a solid foundation of superior methods upon which   16
it can continue to grow and prosper, and it has set the standard to      17
which other such enterprises can aspire; and                             18
     WHEREAS, Agriculture is the backbone of this state’s economy, and   19
it is truly encouraging to know that the future of Ohio agriculture      20
lies, to a large extent, in the capable hands of conscientious           21
individuals such as all those associated with Post Boy Tree Farm. This   22
fine operation has become known for its commitment to the sound          23
conservation of our natural resources, and it is certainly worthy of     24
applause; therefore be it                                                25

As Offered
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of    26
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,          27
congratulate Post Boy Tree Farm on this special honor from the Ohio       28
Forestry Association and offer best wishes for the years to come; and     29
be it further                                                             30
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 31
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Post Boy Tree Farm.    32
