                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring the Olmsted Falls High School boys lacrosse team
              as the 2023 Division II State Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the Olmsted Falls High School      2
boys lacrosse team on winning the 2023 Division II State Championship;   3
and                                                                      4
     WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the   5
Olmsted Falls High School boys lacrosse team have established            6
themselves as a truly exceptional squad. The Bulldogs have excelled in   7
all of their endeavors, and as a result, they defeated a tough St.       8
Francis DeSales team by the score of 13-9 to win this year’s Division    9
II State Championship, their first such crown in program history, and    10
compiled a noteworthy 20-1 record; and                                   11
     WHEREAS, The Bulldogs’ achievements and leadership are a            12
justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection on the           13
players, their families, their school, their community, and their        14
coach, Josh Piepenburg. Due largely to their tireless efforts, the       15
team members have emerged as winners, both in and out of athletic        16
competition, and they have gained the respect and admiration of all      17
who know them; and                                                       18
     WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role   19
in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased     20
to recognize these exemplary athletes and their outstanding coach for    21
a job well done. The knowledge and experience the team members have      22
acquired through their participation in sports will be of tremendous     23
benefit to them as they approach their future goals; therefore be it     24
    RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General    25

Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the Olmsted         26
Falls High School boys lacrosse team as the 2023 Division II State         27
Champion and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further     28
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                29
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Olmsted Falls High School     30
boys lacrosse team.                                                        31
