                       A RESOLUTION
                       Honoring Jeron Williams
   as the 2023 Mid-Atlantic Conference Baseball Player of the Year.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th   1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Jeron Williams    2
on being named the 2023 Mid-Atlantic Conference Baseball Player of the   3
Year; and                                                                4
     WHEREAS, An infielder for the University of Toledo baseball team,   5
Jeron Williams has combined talent and competitive spirit with the       6
highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish himself as a truly     7
exceptional young athlete. With admirable dedication, he has worked      8
diligently to attain ultimate proficiency in baseball, and as a          9
result, he led the nation with forty-nine stolen bases and ninety-six    10
hits, amassed a .403 batting average, and was named the 2023 Mid-        11
Atlantic Conference Player of the Year as well as received Collegiate    12
Baseball All-American second team honors; and                            13
     WHEREAS, Jeron Williams’s accomplishments and leadership, both in   14
and out of athletic competition, are a justifiable source of pride and   15
an excellent reflection not only on him but also on his family, his      16
teammates, his coaches, his school, and his community. His unwavering    17
commitment to excellence has earned him these well-deserved honors,      18
and he is certainly worthy of high praise; and                           19
     WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role   20
in the total education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay      21
tribute to Jeron Williams on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same       22
maturity and experience which he has gained through his participation    23
in sports will greatly aid him in meeting the challenges of the          24
future; therefore be it                                                  25

As Offered
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 26
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,       27
commend Jeron Williams as the 2023 Mid-Atlantic Conference Baseball    28
Player of the Year and extend best wishes for continued success; and   29
be it further                                                          30
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 31
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Jeron Williams.        32
