                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring The University of Toledo women’s basketball team
              as the 2023 Mid-American Conference Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate The University of Toledo women’s     2
basketball team on winning the 2023 Mid-American Conference regular      3
season and tournament championships; and                                 4
     WHEREAS, The members of The University of Toledo women’s            5
basketball team are, indeed, to be heartily applauded, for they have     6
decisively earned this year’s Mid-American Conference regular season     7
and tournament championship titles and advanced to the NCAA              8
Tournament. The Rockets’ accomplishments, including its impressive 29-   9
5 overall record, reflects an outstanding collective effort by the       10
entire team. Without exception, they had prepared conscientiously in     11
pursuit of their goals, devoting countless hours to training and         12
practice in order to ensure peak conditioning, and clearly, this         13
demanding regimen has paid handsome dividends; and                       14
     WHEREAS, Known as a driven and spirited squad, The University of    15
Toledo women’s basketball team has developed into an efficient group     16
of highly skilled athletes whose talent is equaled only by their         17
commendable display of teamwork. Their achievements are a justifiable    18
source of pride not only for them but also for their families, their     19
coach, their school, and their hometowns; and                            20
     WHEREAS, Coach Tricia Cullop has demonstrated remarkable energy,    21
enthusiasm, and dedication in guiding the members of The University of   22
Toledo women’s basketball team to victory. Indeed, her skill as a        23
coach is reflected in their tremendous success, and due largely to her   24
tireless efforts, she has earned the respect and admiration of all who   25
know her; therefore be it                                                26

As Introduced
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General       27
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to The            28
University of Toledo women’s basketball team on its superb 2023 season       29
and salute the players and coaches as some of Ohio’s finest citizens;        30
and be it further                                                            31
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                  32
authenticated copy of this Resolution to The University of Toledo            33
women’s basketball team.                                                     34
