                       A RESOLUTION
 Honoring the Gahanna Lincoln High School girls track and field team
            as the 2023 Division I Indoor State Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th   1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Gahanna         2
Lincoln High School girls track and field team on placing first at the   3
2023 Division I Indoor State Meet; and                                   4
     WHEREAS, The talented Gahanna Lincoln High School girls track and   5
field team is, indeed, to be heartily commended, for it has decisively   6
earned this year’s Division I Indoor State title with an astounding      7
score of 62 points. Without exception, the squad’s gifted athletes       8
prepared conscientiously in pursuit of this crown, devoting countless    9
hours to training and practice in order to be victorious; and            10
     WHEREAS, All those who comprise the Gahanna Lincoln High School     11
girls track and field team have epitomized the power, poise, and         12
precision that befit authentic champions, and to his credit, Coach       13
Roger Whittaker has guided the squad with unwavering expertise and       14
encouragement. He merits praise for encouraging the Lions to maintain    15
composure and to exhibit skill, stamina, and agility in every            16
challenging encounter; and                                               17
     WHEREAS, By prevailing over numerous adversaries, the members of    18
the Gahanna Lincoln High School girls track and field team have          19
learned much about dedication, self-discipline, leadership, and          20
perseverance. Their first-place finish reflects their commitment to      21
the sport, and their indomitable spirit has made their families,         22
coaches, school community, and fans extremely proud; therefore be it     23
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 24
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,       25

salute the Gahanna Lincoln High School girls track and field team for      26
earning first place at the 2023 Division I Indoor State Meet and wish      27
its members continued success in all of their future endeavors; and be     28
it further                                                                 29
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 30
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Gahanna Lincoln    31
High School girls track and field team.                                32
