                        A RESOLUTION
                     Honoring Hayden Hollingsworth
            as a 2023 Division I State Swimming Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th   1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend Hayden Hollingsworth     2
on winning the 2023 Division I State Swimming Championship title in      3
the 50-yard freestyle event; and                                         4
     WHEREAS, A sophomore member of the Upper Arlington High School      5
girls swim team, Hayden Hollingsworth is deserving of recognition for    6
her exemplary accomplishments at this year’s Division I State Meet,      7
where she won first place in the 50-yard freestyle event with a time     8
of 22.84. Her noteworthy record of personal achievement stands as a      9
hallmark for others to emulate; and                                      10
     WHEREAS, Through her participation in sports, Hayden                11
Hollingsworth has learned the important lessons of discipline,           12
perseverance, hard work, and good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly    13
be of great benefit to her throughout her life. Her outstanding          14
efforts have inspired countless people to excel in their athletic        15
aspirations, and she has set an example worthy of the highest praise;    16

     WHEREAS, In a society that seeks to teach the future leaders of     18
our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards   19
of individual and group effort, athletic competition has become a        20
valuable educational tool. With sports playing such an important part    21
in the development of young Ohioans, we are extremely pleased to pay     22
tribute to such a fine athlete as Hayden Hollingsworth; therefore be     23

    RESOLVED,   That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 25

As Offered
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,           26
applaud Hayden Hollingsworth on her remarkable 2022-2023 swim season       27
and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further            28
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 29
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Hayden Hollingsworth.  30
