                       A RESOLUTION
         Honoring the Graham Local High School wrestling team
               as the 2023 Division II State Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th   1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Graham Local    2
High School wrestling team on winning the 2023 Division II State         3
Championship; and                                                        4
     WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the   5
Graham Local High School wrestling team have combined talent and         6
competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to      7
establish themselves as a truly exceptional squad. With admirable        8
dedication, they have worked toward attaining ultimate proficiency on    9
the mat, and as a result, they earned an outstanding 157 points to be    10
crowned this year’s Division II State Champions; and                     11
     WHEREAS, The achievements of the Graham Local High School           12
wrestling team are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent        13
reflection on the wrestlers, the Falcon community, and their coach.      14
The success of any athletic endeavor depends largely on the ability of   15
coaches to provide both guidance and inspiration, and in leading his     16
team to victory, Coach Jason Knott has not only helped these young       17
athletes develop their prowess but also instilled in them a valuable     18
sense of determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; and               19
     WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role   20
in the total education of our youth, we heartily applaud the students    21
who comprise the Graham Local High School wrestling team for a job       22
well done and for demonstrating strength, resolve, and integrity. The    23
maturity and experience the members have gained through their            24
participation in sports will greatly aid them in meeting the             25
challenges of the future; therefore be it                                26

As Offered
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of    27
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,          28
commend the Graham Local High School wrestling team on its tremendous     29
2022-2023 season and salute its wrestlers and coach as some of Ohio’s     30
finest citizens; and be it further                                        31
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 32
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Graham Local High  33
School wrestling team.                                                 34
