                       A RESOLUTION
                   Honoring the Village of Oak Hill
               on its One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th   1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Village of      2
Oak Hill on the auspicious occasion of its One Hundred Fiftieth          3
Anniversary; and                                                         4
     WHEREAS, America is only as strong as her individual communities,   5
which are unique and which make significant contributions to the         6
culture of our state and nation. Since its inception, the Village of     7
Oak Hill has experienced dramatic growth and change, and yet,            8
commendably, it has retained the many engaging qualities that have       9
endeared it to generations of inhabitants. Clearly, it has built on      10
the best traditions of the past to ensure a future filled with hope      11
and promise; and                                                         12
     WHEREAS, Over the past one hundred fifty years, the Village of      13
Oak Hill has enjoyed the benefits of a generous and civic-minded         14
population, and those who currently make the community their home take   15
great pride in its rich heritage. They have exhibited cooperation,       16
integrity, and a willingness to work hard, and their efforts have        17
certainly made the area a pleasant and friendly place in which to        18
live; and                                                                19
     WHEREAS, The One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary of the Village of     20
Oak Hill offers its citizens the opportunity to share their memories     21
and experiences and to reflect on the benefits of life in their close-   22
knit community. A vigorous commitment to public service and an earnest   23
devotion to lofty ideals have long been second nature to many of the     24
village’s residents, and vigilance, industriousness, and generosity      25
have come to typify their collective character; therefore be it          26

     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 27
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,       28
commend the Village of Oak Hill on its One Hundred Fiftieth            29
Anniversary and extend best wishes for peace and prosperity in the     30
years to come; and be it further                                       31
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 32
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Village of Oak     33
Hill.                                                                  34
