A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Canfield High School football team
as the 2022 Division III State Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 134th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Canfield High 2
School football team on securing the 2022 Division III State 3
Championship; and 4
WHEREAS, Known for their drive and focus, the members of the 5
Canfield High School football team have developed into an efficient 6
group of highly skilled athletes whose talent is equaled only by their 7
commendable display of teamwork. Their victories over a host of 8
talented opponents on the way to this year’s Division III State 9
Championship crown reflect the indomitable ambition of every player, 10
and clearly, they have made their families, their fans, and their 11
community very proud; and 12
WHEREAS, The Canfield High School football team is comprised of 13
players who have exemplified the qualities necessary for excellence on 14
the field, including strength, stamina, agility, and perseverance, and 15
they are deserving of praise for winning this year’s Division III 16
State title by a final score of 35-14 over a tough Bloom-Carroll 17
squad. Indeed, in every competitive encounter, the Cardinals have 18
demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication, and they 19
have established themselves as winners, both in and out of 20
competition; and 21
WHEREAS, All those associated with the Canfield High School 22
football team can share in the joy of winning this state championship, 23
which marks the first in program history, and we heartily applaud the 24
respectable coaching of Michael Pavlansky and his assistants as well 25
as the fine support of the many people devoted to the team. The 26

outstanding efforts throughout the 2022 season that culminated to this 27
year’s Division III State Championship will be forever memorable, and 28
this success is a distinguished honor for the Cardinals; therefore be 29
it 30
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 31
the 134th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay 32
tribute to the Canfield High School football team on earning the 33
2022 Division III State Championship and salute its players and 34
coaches as hard-working, spirited Ohioans; and be it further 35
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 36
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Canfield High 37
School football team. 38
