                        A RESOLUTION
                 Honoring the Peebles Monument Company
                          on its Centennial.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 134th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Peebles       2
Monument Company on the auspicious occasion of its One Hundredth       3
Anniversary; and                                                       4
     WHEREAS, The Peebles Monument Company is, indeed, deserving of      5
high praise, for throughout the past century, this fine enterprise has   6
attained a noteworthy record of accomplishment. The company has          7
continually demonstrated its exemplary commitment to ensuring its        8
monuments proudly honor individuals in death by telling a story of       9
their life, and its devotion to its solemn duty has been evident in      10
all its efforts; and                                                     11
     WHEREAS, The success of the Peebles Monument Company is a           12
justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on    13
the business itself but also on the astute management of its owners,     14
Stephen and Vallery Ryan, and on its hard-working employees. Due to      15
their vision and initiative, this respected institution has earned the   16
gratitude and appreciation of many grateful customers; and               17
     WHEREAS, Established in 1922 by Les Wittenmyer, Rufuss Thorman,     18
Lou Kirschner, Cecil Trefz, and Mahlon Franklin Hooper, the Peebles      19
Monument Company has gained a distinguished reputation as a Rock of      20
Ages dealer. We are certain that as this worthy endeavor maintains its   21
dedication to service and achievement, it will continue to prosper and   22
will uphold the tradition of excellence that has long been its           23
hallmark; therefore be it                                                24
    RESOLVED,   That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 25

As Offered
the 134th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,           26
commend the Peebles Monument Company on its One Hundredth Anniversary      27
and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further                   28
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 29
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Peebles Monument   30
Company.                                                               31
