                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring Collin Haj Abed as a 2022 Division III State
              Track and Field Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 134th General Assembly     1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Collin Haj Abed on winning 2022       2
Division III State championships in the 110-meter hurdles and the long    3
jump; and                                                                 4
     WHEREAS, A senior at Grandview Heights High School, Collin Haj       5
Abed has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest          6
ideals of good sportsmanship to establish himself as a truly              7
exceptional athlete. With admirable dedication, he has worked             8
diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in track and field,      9
and as a result, he won first place in the 110-meter hurdles with a       10
time of 14.81 seconds and the long jump with a leap of 22 feet, 2.75      11
inches at this year’s Division III State Meet; and                        12
     WHEREAS, Collin Haj Abed’s accomplishments and leadership, both in   13
and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an          14
outstanding reflection not only on him but also on his family, his        15
teammates, his coaches, his school, and his community. His unwavering     16
commitment to excellence has earned him the respect and esteem of         17
many, and he is certainly worthy of high praise; and                      18
     WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role    19
in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased      20
to pay tribute to Collin Haj Abed on an exemplary season. Indeed, the     21
same maturity and experience he has gained through his participation      22
in track and field will greatly aid him in meeting the challenges of      23
the future; therefore be it                                               24
    RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 134th General     25

As Introduced
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Collin Haj Abed     26
on his Division III State championships and salute him as one of           27
Ohio’s finest citizens; and be it further                                  28
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                29
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Collin Haj Abed.                  30
