                       A RESOLUTION
                       Honoring Girl Named Tom
                as the Season 21 winner of The Voice.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 134th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Girl Named Tom on 2
being named the winner of The Voice Season 21; and                     3
     WHEREAS, Girl Named Tom is truly worthy of recognition, for this    4
creative and motivated trio of siblings from Pettisville, Ohio, has      5
worked diligently to develop the singing talents of its members.         6
Assisted by the coaching of Kelly Clarkson, the group met the            7
challenges of several rounds of performances with energy and             8
enthusiasm, and as a result, it was voted by viewers as the winner of    9
Season 21 of The Voice; and                                              10
     WHEREAS, Exposed to music from a young age, including piano         11
lessons and theater, Caleb, Joshua, and Bekah Liecthy formed Girl        12
Named Tom in 2019. Since that time, they have honed their skills by      13
devoting countless hours to practice and rehearsal, and in the           14
process, they have learned important lessons about poise, cooperation,   15
and discipline; and                                                      16
     WHEREAS, Displaying exceptional dedication and ability, the         17
members of Girl Named Tom have certainly distinguished themselves as     18
gifted vocalists, and they have every reason to be proud of their        19
exemplary accomplishments. Throughout their participation on The         20
Voice, they have gained a host of loyal fans, and their unwavering       21
commitment to excellence is likely to impel others to devote             22
themselves similarly; therefore be it                                    23
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 24
the 134th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,       25

applaud Girl Named Tom as the Season 21 winner of The Voice and extend     26
best wishes for a bright future; and be it further                         27
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 28
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Girl Named Tom.        29
