                       A RESOLUTION
           Honoring Union Baptist Church on its Two Hundredth
              Anniversary.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of    Representatives of the   1
133rd General Assembly of Ohio are pleased   to extend special        2
recognition to Union Baptist Church on the   auspicious occasion of   3
its Two Hundredth Anniversary, October 19,   2019; and                4
     WHEREAS, Since its inception in 1819, Union Baptist Church       5
has offered its members the pathway to a more meaningful life by      6
illuminating and demonstrating the precepts on which the church       7
was founded. The spirit of love and Christian fellowship that         8
exists among the parishioners prevails not only within the church     9
edifice itself but also extends beyond those sacred walls to touch    10
the lives of everyone encountered by these devout disciples; and      11
     WHEREAS, Under the capable leadership of the church’s            12
pastors, both past and present, Union Baptist Church has              13
experienced continual growth and has provided a source of moral       14
guidance and spiritual motivation for each of its members. Over       15
the years, the church has enhanced the quality of life within the     16
surrounding area, and through its generous efforts, it has earned     17
the gratitude and respect of the many citizens it has so capably      18
served; and                                                           19
     WHEREAS, An occasion such as this is an important milestone      20
that represents dedication, commitment, and enduring faith. For       21
two hundred years, the members of Union Baptist Church have kept      22
their faith alive in the Black Fork community, and on this special    23
anniversary, the congregation has accepted the challenge of           24
carrying its beliefs into the future; therefore be it                 25

     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of                           26
Representatives of the 133rd General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting            27
this Resolution, congratulate Union Baptist Church on its Two                 28
Hundredth Anniversary and pay tribute to all those joining in the             29
celebration of this joyous event; and be it further                           30
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives                 31
transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Union                32
Baptist Church.                                                               33
