                       A RESOLUTION
           Honoring Lenea Browder as a Division I State Track and
              Field Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the    1
133rd General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Lenea    2
Browder on winning state titles in the shot put and discus at the   3
2019 Division I State Championships; and                            4
     WHEREAS, A junior at Troy High School, Lenea Browder is        5
deserving of recognition for her outstanding accomplishments as a   6
member of the girls track and field team. A fine young athlete,     7
she compiled a tremendous record this season, culminating in her    8
first place finishes in the shot put and discus events at this      9
year’s Division I State Meet. Her record of personal achievement    10
stands as a hallmark worthy of emulation; and                       11
     WHEREAS, Lenea Browder’s accomplishments and leadership,       12
both in and out of athletic competition, are a justifiable source   13
of pride and an excellent reflection not only on her but also on    14
her family, her teammates, her coaches, her school, and her         15
community. Her unwavering commitment to excellence has earned her   16
the respect and esteem of many, and she is certainly deserving of   17
high praise; and                                                    18
     WHEREAS, In a society that seeks to teach the future leaders   19
of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the   20
rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has    21
become a valuable educational tool. Through her participation in    22
track and field, Lenea Browder has learned the important lessons    23
of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and good sportsmanship      24
that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to her throughout her     25
life; therefore be it                                               26

As Offered
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of                           27
Representatives of the 133rd General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting            28
this Resolution, commend Lenea Browder on her exceptional                     29
performance at the Division I State Championships and extend best             30
wishes for continued success; and be it further                               31
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives                 32
transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Lenea                33
Browder.                                                                      34
