TITLE OF BILL:
An act to amend the alcoholic beverage control law, in relation to a
license to sell liquor at retail for consumption on certain premises
PURPOSE::
This bill will allow Yellow Dog Tavern to obtain a license to sell
liquor at retail for consumption on premise.
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS::
Section one of this legislation amends subdivision 7 of section 64-a of
the Alcoholic Beverage Control Law by adding a new paragraph (c-7) to
allow the State Liquor Authority to issue a retail license to Yellow Dog
Tavern for the on-premises consumption of alcohol, given that said prem-
ises area within 200 feet of a place of worship.
Section two provides the effective date.

JUSTIFICATION::
The owners of Yellow Dog Tavern are seeking this exemption to not only
be able to meet their customers' expectations of such a venue but to
also draw in additional business as more and more people flock to the
Village.
