TITLE OF BILL:
An act in relation to authorizing Larry Mendel to receive his 30 years
of service credit granting eligibility for the length of service award

PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL:
Authorizes Larry Mendel to receive his 30 years of service credit grant-
ing eligibility for the length of service award program
 
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
This bill allows Larry Mendel to receive 30 years of LOSAP credit due to
verified service with the Patterson Volunteer Fire Department. His
certificates of service will serve as valid proof, and all associated
costs will be covered by the existing benefits administrator.
 
JUSTIFICATION:
Due to clerical oversight, Mr. Mendel was not credited for over 30 years
of volunteer service. This bill provides him with the earned LOSAP bene-
fits and corrects an unfair omission in recordkeeping.
