TITLE OF BILL:
An act to amend the alcoholic beverage control law, in relation to
providing for a license to sell liquor at retail for consumption on
certain premises
PURPOSE:
Allows Cork Wine Bar in the Village of Florida to obtain a retail
license for on-premises consumption despite being within 200' of a
building occupied as a school or place of worship.
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
Section 1: Amends subdivision 7 of section 64 of the alcoholic beverage
control law, adding a new paragraph e-18 to allow the issuance of a
retail license for on-premises consumption for a premises that is
located within 200' of a building occupied as a school, church, syna-
gogue, or other place of worship.
Section 2: Sets effective date.
JUSTIFICATION:
This bill would allow the State Liquor Authority to issue a retail
license for on-premises consumption to Cork Wine Bar, which is located
within 200' of a place of worship that supports the issuance of a full
license.
