TITLE OF BILL:
An act to amend chapter 62 of the laws of 2003, amending the public
service law relating to establishing the New York telecommunications
relay service center, in relation to extending certain provisions of
such center
 
PURPOSE:
This will extend the provisions of law establishing the New York tele-
communications relay service center until June 30, 2030.
 
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
Section One: Amends the public service law relating to establishing the
New York telecommunications relay service center to extend its underly-
ing authorization.
Section Two - Establishes the effective date.
 
JUSTIFICATION:
Public Service Law section 92-a(2)(a) requires that the New York Tele-
communications Relay Service Center be located in Syracuse, New York.
This provision expires on June 1, 2027. This legislation extends this
provision until June 30, 2030.
