TITLE OF BILL:
An act in relation to authorizing the county of Warren to offer an
optional twenty-year retirement plan to Bradley Murphy, a patrol officer
employed by such county
 
PURPOSE:
To permit Deputy Bradley Murphy to participate in the 20-year retirement
plan.
 
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
Section 1 - Permits Deputy Bradley Murphy to participate in the 20-year
retirement plan and extend the credit retroactively to Sept. 1, 2019.
Section 2 - States that all employer past-service costs shall be borne
by the Warren County. Section 3 - Provides effective date
 
JUSTIFICATION:
Through no fault of his own, Deputy Bradley Murphy was not enrolled in
the state retirement plan under Section 553b. This legislation would
extend the service credit to Sept. 1, 2019.
