TITLE OF BILL:
An act in relation to authorizing Tina Russo to receive certain service
credit with the New York state teachers' retirement system
 
PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL:
Authorizes Tina Russo to receive certain service credit with the New
York state teachers' retirement system
 
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
Section 1: Fixes the incorrect calculation of Tina Russo's full-time
service credit with the teacher retirement system.
Section 2: All costs shall be borne by the New York State Teachers'
retirement system.
Section 3: Effective Date.
 
JUSTIFICATION:
Through no fault of her own Tina Russo's full-time service credit with
the New York state teachers' retirement system was calculated incorrect-
ly, this bill fixes the issue retroactive to the date of her retirement.
