TITLE OF BILL:
An act to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to granting
temporary parking permits for handicapped parking spaces to pregnant
persons
 
PURPOSE:
To grant temporary parking permits for handicapped parking spaces to
people who are pregnant
 
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
Municipalities may issue a temporary special vehicle identification
parking permit to any women who is pregnant; as certified by practition-
er. Such temporary special vehicle identification parking permit shall
be recognized statewide and shall terminate at the end of pregnancy.
 
JUSTIFICATION:
Any high-risk pregnancy i.e. gestational diabetes, multiple gestations,
edetha and high blood pressure.
